Pain Inside

Nowhere to go,

Nowhere to hide,

Crying doesn’t help,

It’s so deep inside.

I try to stay hidden,

So no-one will know,

But I feel so lost,

With nowhere to go.

Some think they know me,

Others don’t care,

What do you do,

With love you can’t share?

When love turns to hate,

Hate turns to grief,

I’m only human,

I need some relief.

We both say we try to work things through,

But that’s such a lie.

I feel nothing from you,

I always hear the whispers,

And feel the knife,

In my back.

I’ve grown to accept,

There is no changing that.

Your final words,

Die alone and rot in hell,

Mine to you,

Heal and do well.

For my friend Jean

When God Needs an Angel

When God needs an angel,

He chooses carefully,

He makes them shine,

He makes them strong,

They watch over you and me,

To us it’s so unfair,

Another angel in his care,

Why is it so painful Lord,

To all of us left here,

He asks for our forgiveness,

Then our angel will appear,

I need you to be strong He says,

And trust what he may do,

For one day He may call on us,

To do what angels do.
